In case of emergency, dial 3888 from any on-campus phone.
Tell the Security Operations Center personnel
where you are and what the emergency is. They will call 911 and ensure
that Security and Milpitas Emergency Services are directed to the proper
location.

Do NOT attempt to use a fire extinguisher
unless you have been trained to do so |

Follow the evacuation procedure to exit the building immediately |
 |
Do not use elevators |

During the earthquake: |
 |
If indoors,
stay indoors |
 |
Take cover under a desk, table or any other sturdy furniture |
 |
Stay away from glass windows and skylights |
 |
If outdoors,
stay out in the open, away from buildings, overhead wires, poles and walls |
 |
After the
earthquake exit the building when directed to do so by the Emergency
Response Team |
 |
Do not use elevators |
 |
Understand the hazards associated with chemicals and materials you work with: |
 |
Read Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) |
 |
Observe all safety instructions on labels |
 |
In case of a
spill do NOT attempt to clean up without the appropriate training and/or instructions,
however, immediately call
3888 to activate the Emergency Response Team |

If there is a potential for
injury, evacuate the area immediately, then call
3888 to activate the Emergency Response Team |
