Alex Dourov has announced that he is running for public office in his first ever election campaign for a spot on the Board of Directors of the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD) in this November's general election.
He plans to strengthen the adult, senior citizen, & pre-school programs and have LARPD refocus its expansion efforts onto the in-city parks and recreational facilities, rather than the more rural and distant parks.
Alex hopes to appeal to the families that use the LARPD facilities. His platform includes the addition of bathroom and restroom facilities to the in-city (neighborhood) parks, an expansion of the skate park, ensuring that an Olympic size pool is built (rather than one that is only 2/3 that size), and the creation of more playing fields for Livermore youth sports.
Alex's campaign has already been endorsed by a number of locally recognizable individuals and companies.
